my art-works - be it drawings, aquarells, sculptures or photographies -
are signed since 1973. The name Peter Meer, a pseudonym, (“Meer“ is the German word for sea) has its
origin from my passion for water. That is my passion of „Being in the water“ and
„Being surrounded by water“ and both are part of my love for nature.
Most of my art-works are inspired by nature.
In the nature philosophy we experience nature as part of the universe.
The messages of nature are everywhere - seen or unseen and hidden.
In my works I try to make them visible.
An exception is the gallery showing artificial nature. But are not all creations
by humans essentially founded in nature,
built from matter?
